Registration is open for Event Camp Europe, a day-long conference for event professionals exploring innovative formats and technology for meetings and events to be held in London Sept. 9.

The conference will focus on hybrid event technology (the use of online streaming to add a way for remote attendees to participate in a live event) as well as innovative meeting formats and techniques.

Event Camp Europe will also be a hybrid event and will offer opportunities for remote participation via PODs (groups that agree to attend the event together at a remote location) and for individuals viewing from their home or office.

Cost for the event is £100 for onsite attendance, £250 per POD for participation including a full instruction kit and case study on How to Set Up a Remote POD for Your Event. Individuals are invited to participate remotely at no charge, but registration is still required.

For more information, please check out the EventCamp Europe website.

EventCamp National Conference

EventCamp has announced the program schedule for its 2011 national conference, which is being held February 11 – 13, 2011 at the Catalyst Ranch, a highly unusual facility located in the west loop section of downtown Chicago.

The event camp team consisting of Christina Coster, Jessica Levin, Jeff Hurt, Mike McAllen, and Mike McCurry have put together an outstanding program that features facilitated “small group” discussions and “peer to peer” discussions of hot topics.

The general sessions feature several outstanding social media thought leaders, including:  David Armano, Hank Wasiak, Sarah Evans, and Liz Strauss (a personal favorite!).

Registration opened yesterday. Please check the EventCamp Website for details.

Attendance at this event is limited so reserve your spot today!

Event Camp East Coast | WTTC Weblog

A reminder that Event Camp East Coast takes place November 11 – 13 in Philadelphia, PA.

This “BarCamp-style” conference is an off-shoot of the inaugural EventCamp Conference, which was held in NYC last February.

Participants are called upon to create their own agenda with informal, facilitated discussions being the order of the day. Attendees benefit of a community-oriented style of learning — where no one — and everyone is an expert.

The program for the event is based on organizer Adrian Segar’s twenty years of research and experience with conference attendees, described in his book, Conferences That Work: Creating Events That People Love.

The next EventCamp National Conference is being held February 11-13, 2011, in Chicago, IL.
